EPHESIA HOTELS’ APPROACH TO PEOPLE AND PERSONNEL POLICY

Creating a pleasant working environment to differentiate the company, rewarding and motivating staff. Hiring and retaining quality individuals with good work practices and knowledge, while reducing hiring and onboarding costs, lays the groundwork for increased productivity. Maintaining salaries at market levels and providing additional benefits such as accommodation, uniforms, meals, and transportation are the main elements of our personnel policy. Opportunities for gaining new skills (e.g., language courses, in-service training, mentoring programs) are provided. Staff are encouraged to participate in hotel operations and provide feedback on possible improvements. Seasonal employees are encouraged to return the following year. Exit interviews are conducted. Equal opportunity is ensured without discrimination based on race, religion, language, gender, or age. Employing disabled personnel and applying positive discrimination for female employees form the basis of Ephesia Hotels’ personnel policy.

ITEMS SENT FOR RECYCLING

Paper and cardboard, glass, plastic, and metal (aluminum, iron, copper, brass) waste. Recycling bins are placed throughout the facility to encourage guests to recycle their waste.

POSITIVE PLANNING

Thermal insulation of building facades.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND TOURISM

Hotels and other accommodations play a crucial role in ensuring that local communities benefit fully from tourism by providing fair employment opportunities and purchasing local products and services (thus reducing air transport needs). Tourism businesses should minimize their environmental impact and carbon emissions. For this, both our facilities use solar energy, plant trees, maintain chimney cleaning, and perform emission measurements to obtain environmental permits. We work with the principle of taking necessary precautions not to harm the environment.

BLUE FLAG

Our facilities with sea water control have a Blue Flag Beach title.

CLEANING MATERIALS

We use biodegradable cleaning products.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

We support children’s rights as declared by UNICEF, especially in:

– Health,
– Education,
– Neutrality,
– Right to Speak,
– Protection against Sexual Exploitation,

PROCUREMENT POLICY

When purchasing products, unless there is a significant difference in price and quality, we prioritize:

– Products made from or recyclable into recycled materials,
– Products sustainably produced/sourced from sustainable resources,
– Fair Trade / Organic / FSC / MSC-certified products,
– Suppliers who deliver with less packaging,
– Products that save energy and water,
